Prenatal Care

Targeted prenatal chiropractic care plays a vital role in maintaining pelvic alignment, supporting the nervous system, and optimizing space for fetal development. This is what we lovingly refer to as achieving a “luxury pelvis.”

The “luxury pelvis” describes a well-aligned, mobile, and neurologically balanced pelvic region that fosters a more comfortable and spacious environment for both mother and baby. When pelvic and spinal balance are maintained, the nervous system can communicate freely, allowing the body to better adapt to the physical and hormonal changes of pregnancy. This helps regulate tension, reduce discomfort, and support the body’s natural ability to grow and nurture new life.

A balanced nervous system also supports optimal function of the uterus, ligaments, and surrounding muscles, helping the uterus rest freely and encouraging the baby to move into an ideal head-down position. This can contribute to a smoother, more efficient labor and delivery process.

Dr. Hudson is Webster Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), a designation that reflects specialized training in assessing and adjusting the pelvis to reduce tension in the sacrum, ligaments, and surrounding structures. These gentle, precise adjustments calm the nervous system and restore balance to the areas most impacted during pregnancy.

At Body in Balance, we are deeply passionate about walking alongside mothers throughout their prenatal journey. We offer individualized, neurologically focused care that honors both the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, helping you feel connected, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

Postpartum Care

Postpartum chiropractic care supports a mother’s recovery by addressing the musculoskeletal and neurological changes that occur after pregnancy and childbirth.

The physical demands of pregnancy and labor, whether delivery is vaginal or cesarean, can greatly affect the spine, pelvis, and core. These structural changes often influence the nervous system, which plays a central role in regulating healing, hormone balance, mood, and energy levels during the postpartum period.

Chiropractic adjustments help restore pelvic alignment and nervous system balance, allowing the body to recover more efficiently. By reducing tension in the spine and surrounding tissues, care helps reestablish stability, relieve discomfort, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

This gentle and supportive approach not only promotes physical resilience and postural strength but also helps mothers reconnect with their bodies and their nervous systems. When the nervous system is balanced, the body can adapt more effectively to the demands of motherhood, fostering calm, energy, and emotional well-being during this important season of transition.
